What I remove

Single wide and double wide manufactured homes, including ones that are half collapsed. Old trailers, campers, travel trailers, fifth wheels, and motorhomes that aren't going anywhere under their own power. Attached decks, porches, skirting, steps, and everything inside. If the home is full of stuff, that comes out first as a cleanout, then the home comes down.

How mobile home removal works in North Carolina

Mobile homes are different from campers. A manufactured home is a structure in the eyes of the county and the state, so there are steps before the first wall comes down.

1. Paperwork. You show me the title or a bill of sale and your ID. I pull the county demolition permit. The permit can take up to two weeks.
2. Asbestos inspection. An accredited inspector surveys the home. Then the state gets a 10 working day notification before demolition. This is the law, not an upsell.
3. Utilities. Power, water, and septic or sewer get disconnected and capped.
4. Tear-down. Roof, walls, and floor come apart in place. The steel frame and the siding get separated out for recycling.
5. Haul-off. Everything leaves on the trailer. A double wide is several loads.
6. Clean pad. You're left with a bare pad or bare dirt, raked clean, ready to sell, build on, or set a new manufactured home.

Campers and RVs

Campers are vehicles, not structures. No county permit, no state notification. I need the title or a bill of sale and your ID, and I can usually have it gone within the week. If the title is lost, tell me. There's a process for that and I'll walk you through it.

After it's gone

Tell the county tax office the home is off the property so it comes off your tax bill. I'll give you photos of the cleared site for your records. If you're selling the land, those photos go straight in the listing.
